About Julie
Julie Klausner created, co-starred in and wrote every episode of Hulu’s first half-hour comedy series; the Amy Poehler-produced Difficult People, which ran for three seasons and was so critically acclaimed, it rated 100% on Rotten Tomatoes just as it was winding down. The author of two books, Julie has staffed/ Co-EP'ed on television shows from AppleTV’s Schmigadoon! to Amazon’s reboot of The Kids in the Hall and many, many more. Julie’s first play, Sir Andy and Steve is currently in development with Stone Productions and her first feature, Hello Cruel World, is being developed in collaboration with Anarchists United and Killer Films.
Julie is also the co-host of two podcasts on the Forever Dog network How Was Your Week and Double Threat with Tom Scharpling and Julie Klausner. She’s also an actor you’ve seen and heard on shows like The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, Fosse/ Verdon, Bob’s Burgers, At Home with Amy Sedaris and What We Do In The Shadows. She lives in New York City where she freelances as a writer for online magazines like New Yorker and Vulture and as a teacher at her alma mater, NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
